Geranium Road and Sanibel Boulevard
SAN CARLOS PARK — State investigators are looking for the driver of a red pickup truck involved in a hit-and-run accident that sent a 16-year-old girl to the hospital in critical condition Thursday morning.
Keisha Bien-aime was waiting for her school bus near the intersection of Geranium Road and Sanibel Boulevard when a vehicle drifted off the roadway and struck her with its front and right side then fled the area, traveling east on Sanibel Boulevard just before 6:15 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol reports
Keisha was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert before being airlifted to Tampa General Hospital.
The vehicle in the crash is described as a red pickup truck with front and/or right side damage, according to the FHP.
The crash is under investigation by the FHP. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Cooper at 239-344-1745.
