The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications through Sept. 28 for a 10-week business development program.
The program, titled FastTrac Growth Venture, begins Oct. 1 and is designed to provide CEOs with a blueprint to improve their businesses through purposeful planning, profitable growth and enhanced business performance. Sessions are Mondays through Dec. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Chamber's Leadership Collier Foundation community room, 2390 U.S. 41 N.

Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau announces new interns
The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau has welcomed new interns to the staff: Kaylisha Causey and Jennifer Mitar.
The agency's marketing interns are expected to learn event planning, developing and launching a new website and other marketing functions. Causey and Mitar are both seniors at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Verizon Wireless has activated a new advanced digital cell site in the Fort Myers area to enhance high-speed broadband wireless services for Lee County customers.
The new site, near the intersection of Nalle Grade Road and Nalle Road, east of Interstate 75, should help customers in making voice calls, sending e-mails, sending text and picture messages, connecting to the Internet and accessing everything from applications to videos and music on phones, tablets and other wireless devices.
