A man has been hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound to the hand Tuesday in Golden Gate, possibly during a robbery, Collier County sheriff's officials said.
Deputies responded to a call of a possible robbery at about 11:30 a.m. in Toucan Alley, located near Tropicana Boulevard and 25th Place Southwest. The gunshot victim was transported to NCH Downtown Naples Hospital, where his condition is unknown.
Officials are still investigating whether a robbery occurred or if there are any suspects, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jamie Mosbach said.
