A Bonita Springs woman is accused in three cases of identity fraud in Connecticut, authorities announced Thursday.

Shannon Truax, 41, of the 3900 block of Lakemont Drive, has been jailed since May 29, when Milford, Conn. police officers said she attempted to withdraw $7,000 from a Bank of America account with a stolen driver's license.

In that case, officers said Truax tried to assume the victim's identity, but bank employees had been warned about her by the Connecticut Financial Crimes Task Force and called for police.

After Truax was arrested, investigators found several stolen driver's licenses and credit cards "believed to be related to similar incidents," according to a news release. After locating three of the victims, Truax was arrested on a warrant for three counts of larceny.
