Dairy Queen aficionados have a three-day extension to enjoy a final taste of the longtime store on U.S. 41 in downtown Naples.
The classic DQ in the red, A-frame structure at 410 Ninth St. N. will be open through the long holiday weekend, but will close for the last time Monday night. The original plan was to close tonight.
On Tuesday, local DQ franchisee Mike Marciano Sr. will open his new Grill & Chill location about three blocks north at 694 Ninth St. N.
Hours for both stores are 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. each day.
Public relations, marketing firm wins contract
The Charlotte Harbor Visitor & Convention Bureau, the tourism entity for Charlotte County, has awarded a contract to AboveWater Public Relations and Marketing to manage public relations initiatives effective today.
AboveWater will develop a strategic marketing campaign to help Charlotte Harbor & the Gulf Islands provide media relations support in generating overall national awareness for the destination. AboveWater is an established full-service agency with offices in Naples, New Smyrna Beach and St. Petersburg.
MaidPro of SW Florida opening Marco Island office
Michelle Reed-Spitzer owner and CEO of MaidPro of Southwest Florida, says the company will open a new office on Marco Island in October.
MaidPro of Southwest Florida operates as a national franchise, with main offices in Boston. She has been the sole owner of this franchise, which now extends from Bradenton to Marco Island, since 1999.
WCI employees donate school supplies
WCI Communities recently partnered with United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades counties on a school-supply drive in support of the Bonita Springs Assistance Office.
