Several people were hospitalized Saturday night after a multi-vehicle crash on State Road 29, near the Hendry County line.
The five-vehicle crash occurred around 9 p.m., according to a Collier County Sheriff's Office dispatcher. One victim was transported to the hospital via air ambulance. The rest were taken to the hospital via ground transport, authorities said.
It was unclear late Saturday how exactly how many people were injured. Details of the crash were not immediately available.
State Road 29 was shut late Saturday because of the crash. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
