Do you have a son, nephew, grandson or favorite player on the Naples or Immokalee football team? If so, we want to hear from you.

For an article expected to be published Friday, here's what we're asking: In 150 words or less, write something personal to a player or team. Write a message of encouragement. Tell your son what this season has meant to your family. Recount watching the team grow over the years. We're not going to tell you what to write. It can be heartfelt, funny, inspiring, happy or sad. It can be all of the above. All we ask is that you be creative, be thoughtful, and most importantly, make it personal.

We are planning to publish a select few responses on Friday, ahead of the state semifinal football games. While we will only have room for a few messages, we will likely post all of them online.

Once you've completed your message, please send it to jccarpenter@naplesnews.com. Include your name(s), to whom you'd like the message addressed and contact information. If you have a favorite football-related photo of your message recipient (a Pop Warner picture, for example), attach it as well to possibly be printed. Large files are best.

The deadline for submission is noon Wednesday. We look forward to hearing from you.
