Authorities on lookout for home invasion robbers

Collier detectives are looking for two men suspected of a home invasion robbery at an elderly couple's condo in East Naples late Saturday.

Around 11:30 p.m., a 78-year-old woman told detectives she was doing a crossword puzzle in bed when she heard a knock at the front door of her condo on the 200 block of Albi Road. Two masked men with a handgun approached her and shoved their way inside, according to an incident report.

The woman said she began to scream but one of the men covered her mouth and told her to stop. The robbers then asked if she had any debit cards or jewelry, reports said.

The men got away with the woman's wallet before leaving in a gray sedan. The woman's 83-year-old husband slept through the robbery, reports said.

The suspects are described as white men about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 150 pounds. They were wearing black pants, a black shirt, black mask and black gloves at the time of the robbery, reports said.
