NORTH NAPLES — An employee at a Golden Gate Estates aerospace company was arrested Tuesday following accusations that he stole more than $87,000 worth of tools from the company and sold them on eBay.
Two employees of Parker Aerospace, 3580 Shaw Blvd., reported to management in early November that the company's equipment was being sold under eBay account "2007JONQ," according to an arrest report. The employees said they suspected it was Jon Nathan Quint, a 54-year-old co-worker.
The company hired an investigator, who purchased items from the eBay account. They were shipped to the investigator with return labels listing Jon Quint and his home address in North Naples, according to an arrest report.
Reports said Quint undersold the items, in one case selling a $725 pair of carbide cutters for $12. A manager estimated the loss to the company was more than $87,000.
Quint, of the 15900 block of Arbor View Boulevard, faces charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property. Reports said he was fired from Parker Aerospace.
