A man wanted in connection with a shooting last week in Immokalee was arrested Tuesday after he turned himself in.
Aldrice Edwan Cummings, 29, faces charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
A witness told detectives Cummings struck Gerald Colby James, also 29, with his car in front of the Immokalee Apartments, 601 W. Delaware Ave., on Nov. 26. Cummings then shot James through the window and again used his car to run over him, according to an arrest warrant.
James was stable at Lee Memorial Hospital after the shooting and was no longer listed as a patient the next day.
Investigators later found Cummings' Buick at a relative's house on Doak Avenue. A pistol was found near the car, which had damage consistent with what the witness described, the warrant states.
Cummings turned himself in at the Naples Jail Center around 7:30 p.m., according to an arrest report. As of late Wednesday, he remained jailed in lieu of $1 million bond.
