Homeless man accused of stealing from his family

A homeless man is accused of stealing and pawning jewelry and electronics from his family.

Eric Christopher Moran, 26, was arrested Thursday by Collier deputies at the 7100 block of Radio Road. He is accused of grand theft, four counts of defrauding a pawn broker and four counts of dealing in stolen property.

Moran’s family found his pawn slips for watches and a video game controller that belonged to them. They contacted police because Moran had recently spent the night at their home.

Deputies tried to arrange meetings with Moran, who did not show. He was finally located and arrested in the parking lot of a Publix on Radio Road.
