Man accused of selling cocaine to undercover cop
A Golden Gate man is accused of selling cocaine to an undercover detective.
Ricardo Orlando Cruz, 34, of the 2100 block of 43rd Street Southwest, was arrested Friday by Collier deputies after reports say he sold $160 worth of cocaine to the detective.
According to reports, the detective bought an “8-ball” from Cruz, who took the money and then said he’d go to another location to get the cocaine. After about 20 minutes, Cruz still had not returned and he would not answer his phone.
He was later arrested at his home.
Cruz is on state probation for grand theft.
Sandra Murphy, 64, of Miami Beach, was arrested Thursday, by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper off Interstate 75 at mile-marker 79. In addition to a traffic offense, she was charged with drug possession without a prescription, and property damage.
Rosemary P. Heyen, 66, of the 1100 block of Manor Lake Drive, North Naples was arrested by Collier deputies Thursday at the 6100 block of Pine Ridge Road. She was charge for a traffic offense, as well as damage to property after reports say her dark colored Cadillac struck a palm tree.
Giovanni Anthony Sanchez, 30, of the 1000 block of Commons Circle, Golden Gate was arrested Friday by Collier deputies at Physicians Regional Medical Center off Pine Ridge Road. He was charged with a traffic offense, as well as two counts of property damage at Ave Maria and on county medians, leaving the scene of a crash and refusing to submit to a DUI test.
