A Bonita Springs man is accused of stealing six rings during a house party hosted by the homeowners' daughter in late November.

A couple on the 13700 block of East Terry Street told Lee deputies they left town Nov. 24 for a weekend getaway. When they returned home the next day, the house was trashed with beer bottles and other garbage, according to an arrest report.

The wife told deputies someone had rummaged through her closet and removed several pieces of jewelry. The couple's daughter, a student at Florida Gulf Coast University, confessed to throwing a party and said the thief might have been attendee Joseph Michael Biancardi, reports said.

Investigators learned Biancardi had sold six rings to gold store on Old U.S. 41 Road around 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 25, reports said. The woman identified the rings as her own and paid $200 to buy them back, deputies said.

Biancardi, 18, of the 24100 block of Stillwell Parkway, was arrested Friday. He faces charges of grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
