A Golden Gate man was arrested Monday and accused of damaging his ex-girlfriend's car and threatening her.
Around 7:30 a.m., the woman said she awoke to the sound of an alarm and saw her ex-boyfriend, Rolando Blanco-Correa, 37, near her car. About 10 minutes later, he tapped on her front window and said to her in Spanish, "Look what I'm going to do to your car," according to an arrest report.
Blanco-Correa then punched both mirrors and smashed the windshield with a piece of concrete, reports said. He told his ex not to "cross me," then punched her apartment window, according to the woman's account.
Collier deputies also found two text messages Blanco-Correa sent the woman: "If you call the police, tell them I am armed and will shoot them," and "If anything happens to me, you and your family are dead," reports said.
Blanco-Correa, of the 2200 block of 46th Street Southwest, faces a felony charge of criminal mischief over $1,000.
