Deputies on lookout for armed convenience store robbers

Collier County sheriff's detectives are looking for two men who robbed a North Naples convenience store clerk at gunpoint early Sunday.

Just after midnight, the clerk said two men came into the Mobil Wash 'N' Run at 4577 Executive Drive. One pointed a silver revolver at her, told her "I'm not playing" and demanded cash from the register, according to a deputy's report.

The woman gave them money from the register, and the two drove off in a newer model black sport utility vehicle, witnesses said.

The first suspect is a skinny white man with blue eyes between 6 feet 3 inches and 6 feet 5 inches tall, reports said. He was wearing a black knit hat and a cloth over his nose and mouth.

The second man was about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, according to witnesses. He was wearing a knit hat and a gray sweatshirt.

Witnesses outside the store believe the SUV might have been a GMC Envoy or a Mercury Mountaineer.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collier County Sheriff's Office at 239-252-9300.
