The President’s solution to the fiscal cliff is: Congress must first approve the Tax Plan he wants to impose; Then he says he will discuss the budget.
Normal procedure for government is to develop a budget first. Then set the tax rates to pay for your budget. In this economic time the budget to be developed should be very lean with only the necessary line items. Isn’t it time to eliminate the pork and all unnecessary spending (boy am I dreaming)?
If the House and Senate go along with the President’s “solution” they will be imposing debt for generations in the future: $16.3 trillion now and another $ 8 trillion or more in the next four years at the current rate of the President’s spending.
All of a sudden, a trillion here and a trillion there starts to add up to some serious debt.
Mr. President, please let Congress see and discuss you planned budget prior to imposing perhaps unnecessary taxes upon the taxpayers of America in any bracket.
Why do we give billions of dollars in foreign aid to countries that have always hated us and will continue to hate us? Why do we pay entitlements to those that have not paid into the entitlement pool of money?
