2 hospitalized in Florida shooting

NEW PORT RICHEY — Two people are being treated in the hospital after a shooting near a Dunkin Donuts in New Port Richey.

A police statement says the victims were transported late Thursday to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police received a call reporting a shooting near the store around 9 p.m. When officers arrived, they found one victim inside the Dunkin Donuts while the other victim ran to a nearby street.

The suspects fled the scene. The investigation into the shooting continues.

No further information has been released.
