It's Your Business: Culver's restaurants coming to Naples, Fort Myers

Culver’s, a Wisconsin-based chain known for its frozen custard and ButterBurgers, is debuting in Florida this year with four locations planned — one each in Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte and Sarasota.

Culver’s, a Wisconsin-based chain known for its frozen custard and ButterBurgers, is debuting in Florida this year with four locations planned — one each in Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte and Sarasota.

The Midwest-based Culver's restaurant chain will enter Florida next year, with restaurants planned for Naples, Fort Myers and Sarasota.

"We know there are many people from the Midwest in those areas who know the Culver's brand," said Phil Keiser, Culver's president and chief operating officer, in a news statement.

Hyatt Recency Coconut Point wins award

The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa has received the 2012 Platinum Choice Award by Smart Meetings magazine.

The recently renovated 454-room resort was selected for demonstrating excellence in service, facilities, amenities and accommodations. It's one of nine Florida resorts to receive the distinction this year.

Richards elected LBIA president

Steven G. Richards has been elected president of the Lee Building Industry Association for 2013.

The association is composed of more than 300 area builders, contractors, designers and industry businesses. Richards previously served as first vice president and on the association's board of directors.

Richards has been with Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. since 1993, working first as a project manager, then as a full-time estimator. Richards, who was promoted to vice president and to serve on the company's board of directors in 2004, holds degrees from Purdue University in Indiana.

Marco Island retail plaza sells for $1.7M

Frank J. Santoyo has purchased the 9,980-square-foot Sherwin Williams Plaza, 810-820 Bald Eagle Drive, Marco Island, from J&J Marco Inc. for $1.7 million.
