For the second day, a Chester (Pa.) streak came to an end.
The Clippers ended their losing streak, of just one game, with a 78-64 victory Friday over Lake Wales (Fla.)
in a consolation semifinal of the City of Palms Classic.
Chester suffered its first loss in two years and 62 games on Thursday at the hands of Highland (Utah) Lone Peak.
“It was a nice bounce back win,” Chester head coach Larry Yarbray said.
Arizona-commit Rondae Jefferson scored 27 points to pace Chester.
“It still hurts having to adjust to not being on a winning-streak, but we have to bounce back,” said the 6-foot-7 Jefferson. “These challenges are what make a team great.”
Lake Wales’ senior Douglas Brooks led all scorers with 32 points.
