St. Thomas Aquinas topped Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian, 63-51, in the challenge round of he City of Palms Classic.
St. Thomas Aquinas was led in scoring by 6-foot-6 guard Steven Haney Jr., who is currently ranked No. 21 by Source Hoops in Florida’s class of 2013.
Haney, a senior who is headed to UCF, scored 13 points.
Guard Marquan Botley led Prestonwood Christian, the defending City of Palms champions, and all scorers with 15 points.
