NAPLES — The first guests of Phil McCabe's Fifth Avenue South hotel addition will stay in one of 32 suites tonight at rates from $750 to $2,800 per night.
They'll enjoy dinner appetizers followed by cocktails and wake to a complimentary continental breakfast in rooms with balconies overlooking downtown Naples.
The addition to The Inn on Fifth opens today after more than a year of construction. A bank and boutique will open on the ground floor early next year.
McCabe spent $18 million to build the three-story structure and to upgrade existing rooms at The Inn on Fifth across the street. Those upgrades included new bathroom fixtures and furniture for a more modern feel.
The new rooms range in size from 516 square feet for a standard suite to 1,100 square feet for the two presidential suites. The presidential suites have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Chase Bank is the anchor tenant for the new building. Chico's women's apparel store, Boston Proper, is also scheduled to open in the next few months.
A third retailer for the first floor is not ready to be announced, said Katharina Lane, who handles publicity for the hotel.
"This expansion is the culmination of many years of planning and preparation," McCabe, said in a press release. "With the completion of the new building, addition of the Club Level Suites, and redesign of the original Inn, we've successfully and seamlessly blended comfort and luxury to create a truly first-class experience for our guests."
