The Naples Zoo Board of Directors has announced that DHR International has been chosen to lead the search for the new president/CEO of the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens.

David L. Tetzlaff stepped down earlier in December as executive director for the same position at Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

James Abruzzo of DHR will lead the search. Over the last 25 years, Abruzzo has recruited some of the leading executives in the field, including the presidents of the North Carolina Zoo, the Shedd Aquarium and the St. Louis Zoo.

Clothing store opens at Promenade in Bonita

Jami's Young Contemporary Shop clothing store is reopening in the Promenade at Bonita Springs shopping center.

The store has leased 2,205 square feet of retail space at 26795-27911 South Bay Drive.

Karen Johnson-Crowther of Colliers International Southwest Florida represented the landlord, RLR Investments, and Jami's represented itself.

The 106,454-square-foot shopping center is completing renovations, including repairs to the roof and exterior components of all buildings.

Allegiant extends service to Springfield, Ill.

Allegiant will extend its nonstop service from Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield, Ill., to the Punta Gorda Airport through June 3.

The inaugural schedule initially provided flights to April 15. Airport officials have cited robust future bookings as the primary reason for the extension. Information: www.allegiant.com
