In the wake of the terrible Newton, Ct. School tragedy the President of the United States sets his plan in place to put gun control at the forefront of his agenda. Some would think this is understandable considering the senseless deaths of 20 young children, six school staff members and a mother.
Unfortunately, gun control has been an Obama agenda item prior to the school disaster.
Obama and his administration are in full support of the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) currently in negotiation. This will create a very substantial expansion of federal authority which Obama desperately wants. ATT will cover, among others, small arms, light weapons, their parts or components, ammunition, and equipment used to develop, manufacture, or maintain any of these items. It does not exclude hunting weapons, does not exclude sporting firearms or other small arms that could conceivably have a military use but are actually for self-protection, such as revolvers. The scope of the treaty controls everything from rifle scopes to battleships, as well as the technology necessary for their production.

Unfortunately? NO! way. Fortunately America has a President with responsibility. All this tam-tam especially even Knights of Columbus like, this matricidal martial "we are the better people and know what is good for you" has to be eliminated for a free and protected society. This yesterday people belief still we are living in the times of Sitting Bull or Geronimo. Learn the lesson of Connecticut and collect weapons from irresponsible and all other people.
That safes life. Nothing else.

Wayne, this is a rare instant where I agree with you. Obama is a Solcialist and just wants control. Klaus should know better as his country of origin had a fanatical fascist government. How did that work out Klaus?
