BONITA SPRINGS — Lee County Deputies arrested six people Thursday as the result of two undercover prostitution stings.
Deputies conducted the stings in Bonita Springs and North Fort Myers.
According to Lee arrest reports, the focus of the Bonita Springs operation was aimed at men searching for female prostitutes. Undercover deputies posed as prostitutes near the intersection of Old 41 and East Terry Street, which resulted in the arrest of three men who now face charges of soliciting prostitution, reports said.
In North Fort Myers, the focus was to have undercovers pose as "johns" that would attempt to hire street level female prostitutes in areas known for prostitution. They negotiated transactions of money for sex acts. Once the transaction was completed a take down signal was given and uniformed units would conduct a traffic stop on the undercover's vehicle and place the women under arrest. All three are facing prostitution charges.
The following individuals were arrested as a result of these undercover operations:
David Mendez, 54, of the 11700 block of Forest Mere Drive, Bonita Springs; Andres Deleon Mendoza, 29, of the 26400 block of Dortch Avenue, Bonita Springs; Marco A. Cruz-Hernandez, 31, of the 11300 block of Imperial Avenue, Bonita Springs; Charlotee Leann Lupien, 32, of the 7900 block of McDaniel Drive, North Fort Myers; Stephanie Obannon, 28, of the 4100 block of Northeast 22nd Place, Cape Coral; and Bobbie Jo Cox, 38, of the 500 block of San Bernardino Street, North Fort Myers.
