A Chokoloskee man is accused of chasing a man around a trailer park with a tire iron after breaking into his home.
Jason Duane Sine, 37, of 1181 Chokoloskee, was arrested Wednesday by Collier deputies and is facing charges of burglary while armed, grand theft and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
The victim said he was sleeping in his trailer on Feb. 3 when he heard glass breaking and then went to the kitchen where he saw Sine, who the victim knew, climbing through the window, according to the arrest report. The victim told deputies he fled in fear but Sine chased him through the trailer park with a tire iron in his hand.
The victim said he was able to escape and returned home to find his laptop computer missing.
A witness confirmed the victim's story of being chased by Sine with a tire iron. The witness also told deputies he saw Sines throw a computer on the ground, jump on it and then toss it in the water behind the home.
