The 2nd Annual Hideaway Beach Club Open Doubles Tournament is March 2-4 at the Hideaway Beach Tennis Club.

The doubles tourney is open to the public to draw interest from around the area. Divisions will be 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0. Last year 30 players joined with our club players in the competition. We expect at least 50 players from outside the club because we added the 4.0 division.

We already have players from the Lely Resort Players Club, Eagle Creek, Fiddlers Creek, Island Club, Cape Marco and our club.

There will be 16 doubles teams in every division. Players are asked to register early, with the deadline being Feb. 26. Entry fee is $30 a person, with everyone guaranteed a two-match minimum. Each entrant will receive a commemorative T-shirt and lunch on Saturday.

There will be a consolation tournament for those players who lose in the first round.

Checks can be made payable to Hideaway Beach Association (HBA) and mailed to Hideaway Beach Club, 250 South Beach Drive, Marco Island FL 34146, or in person by credit card at the Hideaway Pro Shop.
