Naples police officers are on the lookout for a man who robbed a construction worker at gunpoint in broad daylight on Monday near the intersection of Crayton Road and Spring Line Drive.
The robbery happened a little after 4 p.m. at a house in the 1800 block of on the Crayton Road, said Lt. John Barkley.
He said a man, possibly a construction contractor, came to briefly check on the home when a man ran up behind him and put a gun to his back. Barkley said the victim heard the man say "give me all your money."
All the worker had was about $30. After he handed it to the man with the gun, the man ran off, Barkley said.
For about two hours, officers and K-9 units searched for the man, who was described by the victim as a young, Latino man, 5-foot-8-inches to 5-foot-10-inches tall and 180 pounds with a lot of tattoos.
Barkley said it was not typical of the area, incident and neighbors shouldn't be worried.
"I can't think of any time that has happened there before," Barkely said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Naples Police at 239-213-4844.
