NAPLES — Jason Becker has been named the new director of golf/programs for The First Tee of Naples/Collier, which is entering its fifth year. He replaces Kathy Padgett.
Becker, a Class A PGA professional, is overseeing all Life Skills/Golf classes, working with volunteers, and with its youth program that is projected to serve 1,000 participants this year.
Becker, 31, is a native of Michigan, and a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University's Professional Golf Management Program. He previously worked as a pro at the Boca Raton Resort, and an assistant at Golf Club of the Everglades.
"It is very exciting to be back in Naples and working with children in the area," Becker said. "It is very important for me to be part of growing the game of golf."

Kensington Fore Hospice: The fifth annual Kensington Fore Hospice tournament to benefit Avow Hospice will be Sunday, March 4 at Kensington Golf & Country Club.
