Letter: David Southall will be missed

Early pioneers got in their covered wagons and headed west. That is what we learned in Michigan.

Thanks to David Southall, a regular presenter at Hodges University Center for Lifelong Learning, I have become aware of the unique history of this area and that many pioneers came south.

Florida even played important roles in the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Naples was the sight of a military base during World War II.

The Collier County Historical Museum should be on everyone's visitor's list. Thanks you, David. Best wishes on your retirement. You will be missed.
