Letter of the day: Live and learn?

I can only imagine what Christmas was 150 years ago, especially if you were isolated from the big cities.

Presents were simple, if there were any presents at all, but the family get-together was probably very special.

Today, with the Internet and other modern technology, the seven billion of us on this planet are tied together instantly, but are our holidays any better for it?

It sill amazes me how this one day a year can bring us (the world) seemingly together for peace and happiness and yet the next day we're back to the reality which continues to bring angst in our lives.

I think the biggest gift we can give to one another is this Christmas season good feeling continued throughout the year. Let's have a new year where it's Christmas every day!
