My husband is an above the knee amputee and confined to a wheelchair. On Christmas Day we and neighbors went to see the movie War Horse at Hollywood 20. When we went into the theater we were surprised to see that every seat clearly marked wheelchair accessible was filled with those who were clearly not accompanying a wheelchair.
Since the neighbors had already gone off and gotten seats we did not have the option of leaving and getting our money back as we had all came in the same car, so my options were to either go get a theater staff person and cause a disturbance by someone having to move or what I finally did was seat the husband in the wheelchair row between four strangers and go find a seat in the middle of a row of strangers. My thanks to those thoughtless people seated in the wheelchair row for spoiling our Christmas Day.
