— An Estero teen is accused of threatening his mother with a knife during an argument over a ride to school.

Dennis J. Fenner, 18, of the 7500 block of Garry Road, was arrested Wednesday by Lee deputies at his home. He is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Fenner's mother, told deputies she was arguing with Fenner over a ride to school in the morning and the use of her phone. She said Fenner told her, "I'll fix this" before he went to the kitchen and took a silver steak knife, approximately 5 to 8 inches long, from a drawer and left out the front door.

The victim said she opened the front door and found Fenner letting the air out of the tires on her 2011 Kia. Reports say she asked Fenner what he was doing and he admitted to letting the air out of the tire before saying he would use the knife on her.

According to arrest reports, the victim locked herself in her bedroom and called the Sheriff's Office. Fenner continued to bang on the door. The victim told deputies she was afraid he was going to hurt her.
