It’s in the bag – ‘Accessory boutique’ Beadz ’n Bagz officially opens

The Marco Island woman has a new option for accessorizing herself. Beadz ’n Bagz, Marco’s newest accessory boutique, is open at Town Center Mall.

Tuesday evening, they held a ribbon cutting to commemorate their grand opening, with help from Chamber Ambassadors and members of the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce. Attendees mingled, noshed on free hotdogs and chili dogs from Beach Dogs, and took advantage of special sale promotions.

While new, the concept behind Beadz ’n Bagz is proven, said owner Tom Wiebell.

“We have three other stores in Michigan, and an internet business that reflects the same product mix,” he said. The store features bags by Miche, among others, and popularly priced jewelry from suppliers including Chamilia and Royal Beadz.

While the inventory is heavily geared toward the female sex, there is one table with a sign saying “No Girls Allowed,” a “token men’s area,” said Wiebell.

“The rings are an incredible buy,” said Gabrielle Eby, who has worked at Beadz ’n Bagz since they opened the doors three weeks ago. “I’m just in awe of all of them.”
