We now are allowing people not only to carry concealed deadly weapons but to use them without the necessity of retreat. This is an invitation to disaster.
I'm a gun owner; I believe in the right of people to keep and bear arms. But if you're going to carry a gun or other deadly weapon on the streets, it needs to be out where people can see it. Otherwise, any brawl necessarily becomes a fight for the weapon, with the ultimate possessor "winning" and the ultimate loser dying, often with no initial notice.
After all, isn't that the most likely explanation for what happened in the O.J. Simpson case?
