Letter: Red-light enforcement non-issue if rules are followed

In response to the Jan. 1 letter by Doug McIntosh, "Red-light scam," if all drivers who do not care for a "nanny-state" would put their brains as well as their brakes to work, and simply follow the rules by not running a red light, this camera thing would be a non-issue.

Many accidents would not have happened, the county would have saved a lot of money by not having to install the cameras and a lot of drivers would not have enriched the county with their penalties.

But if the county takes in $3,258,592 in a single year from red-light runners, that speaks for itself, doesn't it!
