Letter: Spay-Neuter clinic could use help

I just read the wonderful Jan. 2 column on the joys of volunteering by your community contributor Cheryl Turner. It made me smile.

I have been a volunteer with the Collier County Spay-Neuter Clinic, a medical facility dedicated to providing low-cost services to pet owners in Southwest Florida for three years. I have folded laundry and cleaned cages and answered phones and gotten puppy kisses in return.

I have sat at a CSNC table at many community events where I have met and referred families who knew they should have their cat or dog neutered but could not afford the fees they had been quoted.

Please consider volunteering with us (collierspayneuter.org) or with any of the wonderful charities in this area. The rewards are immeasurable.
