Letter: The right stuff

As a small-business man, Peter Simmons understands the importance of planning and the impossibility of running a business that spends more than it takes in.

Peter has worked nationally with many organizations to determine their goals, the cost of those goals, and the priority of those goals based on actual funds raised.

Peter was raised in a small town in New Hampshire, which has roots are in volunteerism, including a volunteer Legislature. He learned at an early age that volunteering is a key part of a successful community. Peter has demonstrated that he "hits the ground running" and works hard.

He is a member of the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce, Lee County Republican Committee, Bonita Springs Historical Society and other local groups. Peter is a strong proponent of education and will work to ensure educational excellence in Bonita Springs. His goal of expanding and updating the Bonita Springs Library will provide resources for ongoing education for all citizens. By working to develop downtown Bonita Springs, Peter will help to create an environment that will create the sense of community that is needed for future growth.

By developing a receptive business environment that will attract new businesses, Peter will work to balance the budget while not raising taxes.

A vote for Peter Simmons for Bonita Springs City Council is a vote for a vital Bonita that will attract both young families and retirees for many years to come.
