Edison State College has narrowed the list of firms vying to help in its search for a new president.
A committee of the school’s board of trustees on Tuesday selected three firms — based in Washington, D.C., Illinois and Texas — from a list of nine that submitted proposals.
The remaining firms are Washington, D.C.-based Academic Search, Inc.; Dallas-based R. William Funk & Associates and Springfield, Ill.-based Pauly Group.
Trustee Marjorie Starnes-Bilotti estimates the search will cost around $100,000.
The board of trustees may choose a firm during its meeting Saturday, after the committee presents the three, but will likely wait until its Jan. 24 meeting, trustee Marjorie Starnes-Bilotti said. Representatives from the firms are expected to be available during that meeting.
