Letter: How we handled it

I once served in the Ohio House of Representatives. I was faced with the same problem that now faces Collier County Commissioner Tom Henning regarding a conflict of interest between possible private property ownership and his responsibilities in serving his constituents.

In Ohio these issues are resolved by requesting an Ohio attorney general's written opinion before voting on any question where a legislator is concerned.

I suggest Henning do the same. It will relieve his mind of this issue.
