The residents in the Municipal Services Taxing Unit (MSTU) for Radio Road have a choice to make on Jan. 31.
Take advantage of the lower costs now available and use the money collected by the MSTU and a loan so the project can be done this year, or wait until the money is collected over the next six years and pay the prices that will be charged then.
The funding for the MSTU is a special tax the owners along Radio Road pay and is not part of the general budget; so it does not affect the money available for firefighters and deputies, as someone suggested.
The commissioners have not pushed for this project; the homeowners who live in the area want it to look nice.
