An East Naples man is accused of running over a mailbox and eluding deputies. Deputies say they found the man possessing several empty dust cans they believe he used to get high from.
Timothy Kyger, 41, of the 1200 block of Carpazi Court, was arrested Tuesday by Collier County sheriff's deputies in the 100 block of Blue Ridge Drive.
According to an arrest report, deputies were notified of a suspicious vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection of Devon Circle and Catalina Drive after running over a mailbox.
Deputies said when they arrived on scene, they pulled up to the vehicle and the driver, who was later identified as Kyger, who pulled out of the yard and began driving away.
Kyger ignored deputies' emergency lights and continued to elude them but eventually pulled into a driveway and exited the car, reports stated.
Deputies said after they secured Kyger in the patrol car, they discovered 16 empty cans of industrial-strength ultra duster. They also found two partially used cans and one full can.
Kyger faces charges of leaving scene of a crash, inhaling or ingesting harmful chemicals, reckless driving with damage to property, moving traffic violation and fleeing and eluding law enforcement.
