Robb & Stucky unveils boutique in Fort Myers store

Robb & Stucky International unveiled a specialty boutique Thursday inside its new 60,000-square-foot design studio and furniture showroom in Fort Myers.

It's a Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams boutique, which presents "a young sophisticated style for a great value," said Mark Stuart, creative director for Robb & Stucky International.

Robb & Stucky International is the successor to the former Robb & Stucky, an upscale Fort Myers-based furniture retailer its creditors forced into bankruptcy last year. The newly formed Chinese company acquired the local company's name, logo and client list after bidding the most for its intellectual property.

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is carried in such national chains as Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Williams Sonoma. Plus, there are more than 60 independent retailers nationwide.

Robb & Stucky International's first showroom is at 13170 South Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers – in the same building once used by the old Robb & Stucky. More stores are planned by the new company.

The local company's stores were all liquidated in bankruptcy.
