An East Naples woman was charged with unarmed robbery Wednesday after authorities say she and her boyfriend stole $20 from a man in front of a fast food restaurant on Golden Gate Parkway.
Jennifer Lynn Curvelo, 33, of the 3200 block of Karen Drive, matched the description provided by the victim, according to an arrest report.
The victim said he was telling Curvelo and her boyfriend, Randolph Lopez, about a concert he was promoting when he met them at the bus stop in front of the restaurant, reports said. The victim offered to sell them tickets. When the victim pulled out his wallet to give them change, reports say Lopez slapped him across the face and stole his wallet.
Deputies found Curvelo walking in Toucan Alley across from the restaurant after the robbery.
She told police the victim lied about her involvement. She said she was walking with her boyfriend in the area but could not account for her boyfriend's actions or whereabouts, reports said.
Curvelo was transported to the Naples Jail Center. It was unclear if Lopez had been arrested by Thursday night.
