BRADENTON — Authorities say a woman found her 66-year-old husband dead in their backyard pool.
Manatee Sheriff's officials say James Bonaiuto was floating in the pool when his wife spotted him about just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports a deputy tried to resuscitate the man before he was taken to Blake Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies say the man's wife told them she thought her husband was in the yard with the dog. They say foul play is not suspected.
