Letter to the Editor: Dear Friends of the Naples St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Naples St. Patrick Foundation, the non-profit charitable organization responsible for presenting the Naples St. Patrick’s Day Parade each year, is accepting nominations for the 2012 Parade Grand Marshal. The 34th Annual Parade will be held on March 17 at 11 a.m. in Old Naples.

This is the first time that the parade committee has sought public nominations for the Grand Marshal position. We’re looking for a real contributor to the Collier County Community. Someone that deserves the honor based on their actions, leadership, or volunteerism.

The written nominations must include background information on each candidate. Please include the name, address and telephone number of the nominator. The nominee must consent prior to being named Grand Marshal.

The selection committee will review all nominations and will consider the qualifications and community contributions for all candidates.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is Feb. 10.
