The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.
The most terrifying words in the English language are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."
Governments view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Socialism only works in two places: heaven, where they don't need it, and hell where they already have it. Thank you, Ronald Reagan, for those words that are so true.
Liberals who want to bring big government programs and a European style of socialism to America would be better served by just packing up and moving to Greece. They could immediately have the lower standard of living they crave; immediately have the rationed and ineffective government-run health care they want; the higher costs of living, food, gas, energy and housing.
Writers to this paper state that our government should provide food, housing, education and health care; even a "livable wage" if you don't work at all; a nanny state that is absent from our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and in any papers written by our Founding Fathers.
Liberalism is un-American!
If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under God.
I miss Ronald Reagan!
