Newborn boy missing from West Palm Beach home

WEST PALM BEACH — Authorities are issuing an Amber Alert for a newborn baby believed to have been taken from his West Palm Beach home.

Police say they got a call at 7:45 a.m. Friday reporting the two-week-old boy missing. They say he may have been abducted while his mother was in the shower.

The Palm Beach Post ( ) reports the person believed to have taken the boy is a 32-year-old woman who was either a guest or a caregiver.

She's believed to have been wearing a blue sweater, white shirt, blue jeans and black slippers and may be carrying a laptop computer in a pink carrying case.

The child is black and police say he was wearing a green jumper.
