He helped

With Myra Daniels bowing out from a wonderful run at The Phil, and with the accolades that are justly due her, others who have been involved since early on also need to be recognized.

As a former president of the Naples Players, I know someone who has been involved for more than 30 years in furthering Collier County — Al Bruggemeyer.

While he is approaching his 85th birthday, he can proudly look back on his instrumental and significant involvement with The Phil in its beginnings on Marco, the YMCA on Marco, the Collier County School Board, the Naples Players' Sugden Community Theater on Fifth Avenue South, International College (now Hodges University), Florida Gulf Coast University, Rotary and much more.

Kudos to him.
