Gulf low expected to bring showers at week’s end

A cold front on the map is entering the Florida Panhandle this morning, but it doesn't look like Southwest Florida will see much influence from the system.

After a high just above 80 degrees today, the afternoon sea breeze will kick in near the beaches and cool down to the 70s before sunset.

Computer models develop another low in the western Gulf of Mexico by the middle of the week and bring this next system toward us on Friday. The forecast brings a chance for showers by Friday evening, NBC2 Meteorologist Robert Van Winkle reports.
