Letter: The one in 4

Steve Corbin, Bonita Springs

The one in 4

We have some great candidates running in Bonita Springs, and I commend each and every one for their service to the community. The people in District 4 have a City Council candidate that you can trust to represent you with the commitment to the position and will represent you with honesty and openness that you deserve.

I want to share a little about Wes Norris and how he has worked in our community for over 30 years.

Since 1990 he has been a charter member of the Optimist Club, where he has worked with the youth of our community at dances, Respect for Law Camps, Youth Appreciation Awards, junior golf and on and on.

He is not just a member who pays his dues but is a member who volunteers over 200 hours a year.

For the past decade if you and your family have visited the Flesher Christmas lights display in Bonita you have probably seen him either out in the parking lot directing cars or he was the jolly old soul in the red suit giving rides in his sleigh and listening to the kids as they told him how good they had been that year.

For nine years he volunteered his time to sit on the Bonita Springs Zoning Board, where he heard over 200 cases. He has the ability to listen to the people and their issues and use a common-sense approach to each case.

Please vote for Wes Norris on Jan. 31.
